One of our new products this season is the One Pot Chicken Italiano Mix. It is good except I would add a bit more seasoning - like maybe Seasoned Pepper. Also, if you use gluten-free pasta, please add additional time. By the way, due to our dietary requirements, I used low sodium chicken broth, lite cream cheese, and turkey bacon. Here's the ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chichen breast
- 4 c chicken broth, divided
- 1 packet Makin' Magic Chicken Seasoning
- 1 packet That's Italiano! Dip Mix
- 1 c Shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
- 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese
- 1 lb penne pasta
- 1/2 (2.52 oz) pkg fully cooked bacon, crumbled
Directions:
- Place chicken in a 3-qrt or larger slow cooker. Add 1 c broth, That's Italiano! Dip Mix and Makin' Magic Chicken Seasoning.
- Sprinkle 1/2 c Parmesan cheese over chicken. Place the block of cream cheese on top.
- Cook on High 2-3 hours or Low 4-6 hours; until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F on an instant-read food thermometer and chicken is fork-tender.
- Shred chicken with two forks. Add remaining 3 c broth and pasta, stir to combine. Cook on High 30 minutes, until pasta is tender; stirring halfway through.
- Stir in remaining 1/2 c Parmesan cheese and crumbled bacon.
